100s of videos. 10s of Millions of views. Hundreds of thousands of shares and saves. From a 300 view average when we started.

Taking a nascent social presence from an avg 300 views to over 10K views and hundreds of thousands of likes/shares.

My 2-man team (I’m one of those, to be clear) was contracted to make TikToks for Scotts Lawn, three a week.

The other agency doing their content on TikTok? VAYNERMedia. Yes, Gary Vee.

Turns out, our content dramatically outperformed Mr. Vee’s (who I have the utmost respect for, and even started testing TikTok after hearing him talk about it early on.)

Like, they were getting just 300 views (and no engagement) a post. After just a few months, we were getting 10K views on average. Then we hit 3M and later, 5M. And although views are awesome and worthy, they are vanity metrics compared to the gold in social rn—shares and saves. And, we were getting 100s of thousands of shares and saves.

THEN. We made some videos for EZ Seed and people were obsessed asking questions, looking for coupons, searching for advice. So we wanted to take that organic piece of content, slap a CTA on and some paid $ behind it. They were just about to, and it would have crushed, but fell into some things that halted certain spend for a bit.

We did all this with an iPhone in my backyard.
